ZARA will put you into the heart of the action and the heart of its growth.TEMPORARY PAYROLL SPECIALIST (UP TO 6 MONTHS)Position based in our NYC Corporate OfficePURPOSE:To assist in payroll processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the financial and operational objectives of the organization.RESPONSABILITIES:Assist in processing payroll to ensure employee wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Support timely payroll processing to prevent delays or errors that could impact employee compensation and company operations.Handle routine payroll tasks and assist in resolving basic payroll-related inquiries.Ensure changes to employee data (such as new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations) are reflected in payroll accurately and promptly.Generate standard reports for Payroll Manager, HR, or Finance as needed.Assist in identifying and reporting recurring issues, contributing to training and procedural solutions.Maintain payroll-related activities, including time off accruals and holiday pay.Review payroll transactions for accuracy and completeness of data.Respond to employee questions regarding payroll policies and procedures in a timely manner.Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll records and protect employee privacy.Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices.Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.PROFILE:Previous experience in high volume payroll (min. 2 years)Working knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP Vantage, Vantage Time, Understanding of payroll regulations and processing laws, taxes at Federal, State and local levels: Multi-state experience preferred.Strong time management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.Demonstrated reliability, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar designation is a plus.Bilingual (Spanish is a plus).Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.Annual compensation range: $59,000 - $95,000 + discretionary bonusZara, in good faith, believes that this posted rate of compensation is the accurate range for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
