Driver Supervisor

Location: Liverpool, NY Department: Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI)Reports To: Asst. Transportation ManagerWage Range: $64,383 - $96,575 annually, plus bonus opportunityAs a Driver Supervisor, you will be responsible for driver assignments, scheduling, and coordinating product movements to customers, vendors, and distribution centers through the efficient use and management of company equipment, fleet, and drivers, in addition to various duties as determined by the Assistant Transportation Manager. WHAT YOU'LL DOAdhere to all guaranteed inbound product movements, such as inbound vendor purchase orders for both Dot Foods and internal company transfersManage driver assignment for all loads, inbound and outboundAssist in the coordination of product transfer to other distribution centersPerform specific duties in measuring and reporting driver payroll, service levels, fleet performance, etc.Lead continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree or equivalent Dot experienceKnowledge of D.O.T., Federal and State regulations for drivers and equipmentWorking knowledge of federal Hours Of Service regulationsAbility to work in a constantly changing environmentYOU MAY ALSO HAVEEffective communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsEffective planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsROLE SPECIFICSTravel - Occasional overnight travel to other company facilities or outside facilities for training.
