Akkodis is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer III with an aerospace domain client located in Carson, CA. Ideally, as a Manufacturing Engineer III, you will be responsible for defining production processes and optimizing the production flow to support Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operational Excellence. This includes managing the Bill of Materials, Routers, and work instructions, and implementing resource usage improvements to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.Pay Range: $45-$60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical deliverables, production documentation, and industrial validation for manufacturing engineering phases.Collaborate with design engineering to enhance manufacturability, optimize cost, and improve product designs.Conduct technical analysis to address production constraints and propose changes to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives.Identify and justify capital expenses and oversee implementation at the program or site level.Review and analyze 2D/3D component models for manufacturability and perform detailed time studies.Develop work breakdown structures, detailed work instructions, and specifications.Maintain industrialization metrics and communicate performance based on standard KPIs.Support or lead costing, Bids, and Proposals for customer submissions.Promote Lean principles to improve production performance and efficiency.Validate compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements.Apply advanced knowledge in machining, assembly lines, BOM creation, and line layouts.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.Experience: Minimum 5 years in regulated engineering or production environments, with at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.Proficiency in ERP systems, SolidWorks, CATIA V5, SmarTeam (preferred), Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project.Experience with materials and manufacturing processes in aerospace or automotive.Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with minimal oversight.Expertise in primary processes like CNC machining, Layup, and Crush Core.If you are interested in exploring this opportunity further, then click on Easy Apply.
