Automation Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician (6-Month Contract)Pay Rate: $30-38/hour (W2)Shift: First or Second ShiftDuration: 6 months Job Summary:The Automation Maintenance Technician ensures optimal performance of automation equipment to meet production goals, improve process efficiency, and manage preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, minimizing downtime, and supporting equipment overhauls and installations in a high-speed manufacturing environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of production machinery.Operate and maintain lathes, mills, grinders, and various tools.Conduct preventative maintenance, equipment modifications, and capability studies.Maintain equipment logs and coordinate compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, EPA, OSHA, etc.).Collaborate with other departments and support special projects as needed.Knowledge, Skills & QualificationsProficient in reading procedures and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Oracle).Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills; team-oriented and self-motivated.Strong mechanical aptitude; skilled with hand and power tools, lathes, grinders, and drills.Familiar with PLCs, sensors, and data gathering in electronics.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum five years' work experience as a Technician on automated assembly equipment. Two to three years in electronics, mechanics, science and physics.
