Why you should applyAllied Network for Social Assistance and Resources (ANSAR) is a nonprofit organization that has been working with refugees and immigrants in the larger Pittsburgh area for over seven years. ANSAR is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our growing team. This position works closely with the ANSAR refugee placement and social services program.POSITION SUMMARYANSAR seeks a competent Program Coordinator to undertake various administrative and program coordination tasks. Their primary duties include organizing multiple programs and activities to improve ANSAR's efficiency, building long-term goals for ANSAR's projects, evaluating different programs, and developing a mental wellness program and project budget.QUALIFICATIONSThe preferred degree is a master's in social services or psychology with one or more years of experience or a bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, or business administration with at least three years of experience.REQUIREMENTSThe Program Coordinator must have:Excellent organizational skills and an understanding of managing projects with strict deadlines.Ability to manage projects across programs at ANSAR's main office and its satellite offices.Teamwork and motivational skills.Leadership skills include problem-solving, risk management, and multitasking.Written and verbal communication in the English language. A second language is a plus.Proficient in office technology, including MS0365 applications.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport planning and coordination of ANSAR's assigned program/s and its activitiesEnsure implementation of policies and practicesMaintain budget and track expenditures and transactionsWork closely with ANSAR's marketing staff to manage communications through media relations, social mediaAbility to develop positive working relationships with internal staff and community partners.Explore partnership opportunities with local and national organizations in support of ANSAR's programs.Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agendaEnsure technology is currently used for all operations (video conferencing, presentation, etc.)Prepare reports and proposals and maintain excellent paperwork records and filing.Support growth and program development.Embed volunteer work in events and projects while monitoring volunteer work progressManage staff in assigned programs and projects.Participate in ANSAR's staff development and training opportunities to maintain accredited representation or licensing status.Be alert to cross-cultural interference when dealing with clients, and behave culturally sensitively to respond appropriately to their cultural characteristics.May require travel to welcome families from the airport and to events when neededAssume other responsibilities as assigned.Application: Please email a cover letter, resume, and two letters of recommendation or references to younes@ with "Administrative Officer" in the subject line.Please visit ANSAR at to learn more about ANSAR.
