MidPoint Technology Group, LLC is currently seeking an audio visual production engineer to join our growing audio visual division to provide technical assistance on projects.Working in concert with our engineering manager and operation staff, the audio visual production engineer we select will have overall responsibility for providing engineering documentation, testing, commissioning systems, client training and technical assistance for all projects. An audio visual production engineer is an advanced technical position within the audio visual department, this position is great for candidates with 6-plus years of experience in the audio visual industry with system integration and system commissioning.The collaborative audio visual team member we seek will genuinely respect diverse points-of-view, acceptable to directions, self-motivated, and strive for an environment in which inclusiveness drives productivity and results. Other requirements include:Role Requirements:o 6-years (plus) experience in the audio visual industryo 3-years (plus) with system commissioningo 3-years (plus) with system integrationo Self-motivatedo Multitasking skillso Strong computer skillso Strong organizational skillso Strong communication skillso Strong troubleshooting skillso Ability to read & understand cabling pull schedules, floor plans, ceiling plans, riser diagrams & line diagramso Strong knowledge/experience of signal flow, audio visual signal types, connector types & terminationso Strong knowledge/experience with control/automation system: Crestron, AMX, and Extrono Strong knowledge/experience with audio DSP's: QSC, Biamp, Clearone, Symetrixo Strong knowledge/experience with digital video/audio transmission and protocolso Strong AutoCAD knowledge/experienceo Strong drafting knowledge/experienceAdditional Skills:o Electronics knowledge is a plus.o Technical college certificates or degree is a pluso Computer science degree is a pluso Industry certifications are a plus: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, LifeSize, Polycom, Cisco, Infocomm, Etc.o Audio production and/or video production knowledge is a pluso Programming & UI development experience is a plusThis position may require travel and the ability to work nights and/or weekends in order to meet the project(s) demands.
