Job descriptionMasis Professional Group is hiring for direct placement opportunities. We are assisting our client in searching for a 3rd Shift Molding Supervisor.The Molding Shift Supervisor is a cross functional resource for daily activities. This role will provide leadership and overall direction to the day-to-day technical operations and personnel on the production floor.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Communicate effectively with preceding and succeeding Shift Supervisors, Technicians, and Engineers daily.Maintain control and always be in command of the molding floor.Check and verify daily production counts on all machines to ensure the correct amount of product is manufactured.Work with the Molding Lead Operator to schedule personnel to machines to maximize production output.Utilize CIM to monitor each machine for applicable process parameters and improve process as required.Ensure set-ups are completed in a safe, timely manner.Start molding machines when all elements of a set-up are complete, including all verification steps and submission of parts to the Quality Department for approval.Respond to Quality Department concerns on product being manufactured. Work with Technicians/Engineers to diagnose and correct issues.Communicate with Maintenance Technicians to determine timeline for machine repairs and dictate priority based on production schedule.Communicate with Toolroom staff with ongoing tool related concerns and to understand when tools will be available for release to the molding floor.Inspect every machine at least three (3) times per shift for issues and correct those found immediately. Do a 3600 review of each machine at least once per shift.Fill out all required paperwork neatly and accurately. Ensure all staff is aware of requirements and doing the same.Engage Engineers and Technicians to continuously learn best practices with injection molding processing and automation to continuously improve skills.Oversee and maintain overall cleanliness of manufacturing areas continuously, including the proper storage of all equipment.Understand, follow, and provide guidance on all ISO-9001, ISO-13485, Company Policy, and Safety Procedures. Maintain work habits and safety procedures to protect personnel, customer property, and company property from damage or misuse.Support and adhere to corporate mission, values, and policies.Experience and/or Educational Requirements:High school diploma or GED required. Degree or trade school certification encouraged.3+ years' experience in injection mold set-up and processing preferred.Previous experience as a Shift Leader or Manufacturing Supervisor preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.Basic ability to read part and tool drawings preferred.Basic ability to use typical measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) preferred.Experience with and understanding of the principles of SPC preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work a standard 40 hour work week with occasional overtime including weekends as a possibility.Sitting and/or standing for an extended period of time as well as some walking within the facility.Must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences and depth perception for product and safety issues.Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 100 feet.The ability to lift and carry various items up to 60 pounds.Pass auditory screening.Please submit your resume to be considered for this position.Job Type: Full-time/Direct-HirePay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offPaid trainingVision insuranceShift:Night shift, 11:45pm-8:00amShift availability:Overnight Shift (11:45pm-8:00am)Ability to Commute:Orchard Park, NY (Required)Ability to Relocate:Orchard Park, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
