Director of Quality

Seeking a Director of Quality due to a retirement. You can drive quality performance for 8 plants in 5 states. Reporting to the CEO, you'll be an integral part of a company that is growing organically and through acquisitions. Director of Quality Tasks:Develop systems for and/or participate in APQP/PPAP activities.Develop systems for production's performance with QA standards. Maintain Customer Specific Quality System Requirements.Develop Quality Assurance training for employees.Investigate methods for improving product quality.Interface with Program Mgmt., Materials, and Manufacturing.Lead TS16949 initiatives.Liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to the quality system.Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality.Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.Perform Problem-solving TechniquesDirector of Quality Profile:BS Degree preferredMinimum of 5 years leading a Quality TeamAutomotive experienceHeavy truck experience a plusInjection molding and/or automated paint experience a plusMulti-plant experienceTS16949 experienceStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, suppliers, and customers.Willingness to travel up to 25%.Director of Quality Benefits?Strong benefits that begin first day of employment and include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(K) plus match.Work with a CEO who is growth-minded.Work with a CEO who is not a micro manager but accessible when you need him.Opportunity to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment.Local/commutable candidates preferred.
