TransPerfect Health Corp. is a division of TransPerfect focused on outcome based rehabilitation solutions: Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy: /industries/healthcare/therapyThe Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing quality direct patient care including: screening, evaluation, development of initial & ongoing treatment plans, discharge plan and case management. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for the clinical supervision of Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTA) and compliance of all professional standards.DESCRIPTIONUpscale Continuum Care Community: Stone Mountain, GAPerform Occupational Therapy services as defined by Scope of Practice and State Practice ActBuild a strong Occupational Therapy program for assigned client/sOptimize the functionality and skills of patientsResponsible for the evaluation and treatment of residents after a written order received from PhysicianScreen facility residentsComplete all necessary medical documentationAttend all required meetings and in-services, including but not limited to family meetings, care plans, staffing and utilization reviewIn conjunction with the Director of Rehabilitation, develop programs appropriate to the needs of the facility residents through the continuum of careCompliant with all infection control procedures and environmental protocol while following Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) Resident's Rights GuidelinesProvide consultation and clinical supervision to Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTA)Responsible for appropriate scheduling of residentsEducate and train families and staff on in-servicesAssist the facility in meeting standards necessary to maintain state and federal certificationRequired to perform a variety of duties relative to the job, some of which require a moderate to heavy category of physical demandPush/Pull up to 300lbs, stand, sit, sustained squatting, repetitive stooping, trunk twisting, sustained kneeling, sustained & repetitive forward reaching, stair climbing, walking, grasping, fine motor, liftingComplete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisorREQUIRED SKILLSExcellent communication skills both written and verbal in EnglishAbility to maintain professionalism in all situationsStrong time management and ability to manage multiple caseloadsAbility to supervise OTA according to state regulationsPatient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) knowledgeMedicaid case-mix knowledgeREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Master's of Science degree or "grandfathered" equivalent certification in Occupational TherapyCurrent certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc (NBCOT), if required by StateMaintain valid State License and awareness of issues related to the profession of Occupational Therapists (OT) and healthcare environmentMust have a valid driver's license or other means to commute between facilities assigned to workDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCESenior Living and/or geriatric experience preferredExperience with therapy software, i.e. Electronic Patient Record (EMR)
