Newport Construction Corporation is currently interviewing qualified candidates for immediate openings in our growing contract and commercial administration department. This position is not remote, and will report to the corporate office located in Nashua, NH daily.As a contracts administrator in this specific role, you will be supporting the contracting team on several different levels. We are looking for an adaptive, motivated, innovative, contracting assistant to support the team. This role will also provide administrative support to the construction and sales teams.Newport is a heavy highway/road construction, and aggregate and asphalt manufacturing firm. The right individual will have prior industry knowledge, or have the ability to quickly learn and adapt their current skills to fit our industry.Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:Assist with bidding by retrieving bid documents, preparation of bids, entering bids, monitoring addenda, bid schedule, bid results, union requests and maintaining bid filesPrepare subcontracts by pulling the associated documents from contracts, following up with subcontractors, submit subcontractors for approval, enter data into an online public sector program, correspondence to public agencies and distribute prevailing wage rates.Prepare all invoicing for our commercial division, distribute, and follow up on payment.Assist with preparation of proposals and quotes.Assist with subcontractor payment schedules.Prepare job field documentation required for Superintendents.Create digital and physical job files.Maintaining daily logs for various project functions.Assist the team with daily assignments if needed.Maintain organized system of physical and digital files.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Willingness and ability to follow direction and procedure.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new systems as needed.Salary commensurate with experience.
