Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Quality Control Manager (QCM) in our Federal Division based out of Dayton, OHThe QCM will be responsible for overseeing the onsite daily quality control and safety of PSI Federal Construction projects.Who We Are:Place Services Inc. is a leading commercial construction company based in Canton, Georgia. Our depth of clients' expertise ranges from the grocery industry to big box retail as well as both state and Federal government projects in the military and healthcare.What You'll Do:Supervise, inspect and ensure seamless day-to-day schedules and operations of PSI and partner employees and subcontractorsServe as the PSI onsite Construction Quality Control (CQC)Complete all required on-site paperwork. Coordinate site access for all project stakeholdersCoordinate construction project schedules and operations with subcontractors and PSI employeesRepresent PSI with professionalism and integritySchedule, manage, and assist, as needed, subcontractorsSet expectations of subcontractors and hold them accountable for quality and safetyProvide direct accountability for contract submittals and processesComplete reports and documentation required or requested by managementInspect and secure job site to prevent damages and theftEnsure a safe work environment by following and enforcing OSHA safety standards. Ensure OSHA complianceEstablish sequence & manner to carry out work, consistent with Project Site Superintendent's direction and to keep the project on scheduleAbility & willingness to study, understand, direct, perform, based on construction drawingsPrepare and document job meetings, safety meetings, reports, daily pictures & logsBe willing to physically work as neededAlways be willing to accomplish other project-related tasks and support that may be required at any given timeWho You Are:Excellent with Details - focus on quality.Team Player - we over me mentality; considers how actions will impact the whole group.Effective Communicator - strong in both verbal and written modes; displays professionalism in all circumstances to represent the company well.Flexible - understands the shifting business priorities and pivots easily to change.Continuous Improvement - displays a personal desire to learn and grow; contributes new ideas to the company for improvement.What You Bring:Reading and understanding construction drawings and Federal specifications to include project schedule critical path activities, quality control requirements, and safety standardsStrong verbal and written communication skillsTime Management skills are imperativeIntermediate computer skills including Word, Excel, OutlookMust be computer savvy with spreadsheets, sending pictures, Excel & Word programsAbility to be onsite daily during required working hours and travel as required and have a valid US driver's license.Able to pass a background check for project site accessOSHA & CPR training or certification with USACE EM 385-1 experience or certification.Must be able to identify hazards and always ensure safety compliance.Highly desired to have current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification or be able to obtain it within 90 days of hirePrevious experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and SSHO on medium to highly complex Federal or Public construction projectsMinimum 10-years of experience in a construction role with 5 of those years in a QC role on complex commercial or federal projects. Demonstrated experience and success with Quality Control and Site Safety and Health processes.
