Our client, a well-established name in the solar energy sector, is looking for an experienced professional to lead their mergers and acquisitions strategy for distributed to small utility-scale solar projects. The position will focus on identifying acquisition opportunities, building key partnerships, and driving business growth within the renewable energy industry across the United States.Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):• Identify and initiate new business development opportunities for solar project acquisitions.• Develop and communicate strategies to achieve business growth and sales objectives.• Stay updated on market trends by participating in industry conferences and seminars.• Work closely with internal teams such as legal, finance, engineering, and construction to support business development efforts.• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring clarity on project terms, conditions, and expectations.• Explore new markets and opportunities to drive business expansion in the renewable energy sector.Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: • At least 3 years of experience in business development or sales, with a preference for those with a background in solar energy or renewable energy.• Familiarity with battery storage systems is an advantage.• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.• A solid foundation in sales strategies, marketing principles, and business development techniques.• Understanding of the solar energy market, including financial and operational concepts.• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.Let's connect and discuss this opportunity in more detail - ava.jorgensen@
