Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in auditing the internal compliance function, including inventory and audit controls. QA and QC responsibilities Responsible for assisting in updating and implementing compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness. Assist in creating process maps and supporting standard operating procedures (SOPs) Assist in creating and maintaining compliance checklists for all processes Assist in the monitoring state and local laws pertaining to operations and ensure compliance with such laws and update compliance documentation and processes as legislation and regulations change. Possesses full knowledge of all Hazardous Chemicals within the facility, Hazard Communication and the company's Emergency Action and Response Plan Possesses adequate knowledge of Electrical Safety and Machine Guarding Work with functional leaders to ensure information is communicated and all stakeholders are properly informed of changes to regulations, policies, and procedures in their respective areas. Assist in fulfillment of employee training requirements for the site Identify issues, analyze current business methods and provide suggestions to ensure the company maintains compliance with local and state laws. Assist in the implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout the operating units. Responsible for weekly reporting to management with current compliance issues, recommendations, and regulatory updates Identify modifications to current processes and procedures, changes, and new processes and procedures that need to be put in place. Document all changes into training manuals and SOPs Basic Qualifications:Preferred Bachelor's degree Preferred experience in a regulated setting or Good Manufacturing Practices Maintain thorough knowledge of state and local cannabis laws and regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong project management skills Knowledge of general cannabis manufacturing and distribution processes and food safety processes and procedures Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and use of MS Office products Effective communication skills and attention to detail Strong work ethic Willingness to learn and improve each operation Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment. Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic math percentages and formulas High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexibleWorks in other areas of the facility, performing tasks outside of the scope of the primary job functions as neededAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Must follow all company policies and procedures Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Working Conditions and Physical Effort:Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), humidity, darkness, and noise.Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as hair net, earplugs, beard net (if applicable), protective gloves, safety harness, safety glasses and slip resistant work shoes/boots. Personal protective equipment will be provided.Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walk around office and facility; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate by utilizing professional etiquette with all levels of associates and with external vendors.High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexible.
