We are seeking collaborative, relentless problem solvers who share our passion for making an impact.Position:The Inside Sales Specialist will be the primary contact for inbound sales inquiries and will also be responsible for outbound lead generation for Conigen. The ISS will provide excellent customer service to new and existing customers, support the field sales organization, and work cross-functionally with all internal teams including finance, product, customer service / customer support, and executive leadership to grow the Conigen business. This position is located in our Worcester office with a hybrid opportunity. Key Responsibilities:•Promptly handle and/ or route to appropriate sales team all in-bound customer / prospect communication through phone, email and web inquires. Provide excellent sales and customer service, and pass on opportunities to field sales or handle the request as required.•Prospect for new business using phone, email, social media and other channels to find new customers / opportunities for Conigen.•Support new customers with account setup and management of all new accounts, order entry, quote / proposal generation and other sales activities to grow the business and provide excellent customer experience.•Support sales activities and projects as assigned for strategic market growth and build sales pipeline leads, including research projects and marketing content development and support•Support distributor and channel sales and customer requests.•Work collaboratively with the sales team, marketing, product and leadership to coordinate activities, provide voice of customer and generate compelling messages that resonate with customers•Ensure timely and appropriate follow up on leads and prospects•Report on lead generation and sales activity metrics•Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: •BS in biology or a related life sciences field. Advanced degree preferred•One + years of experience in a sales or customer facing role with sales and prospecting experience desired•Understanding of scientific terminology and lab techniques strongly desired•Experience with sales automation and CRM tools •Experience in a Life Science environment preferred•Good team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on approach and demonstrated ability to multi-task and think creatively;•Demonstrated ability to overcome objections through value proposition positioning to customer needs•Strong organizational and analytic skills, time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•A customer centric mindset to provide the best possible experience to our customers•Ability to work independently in a fast paced entrepreneurial environmentOffice Location in Worcester, Massachusetts with potential. Hybrid opportunity. Must be willing to travel to our Worcester office.Initial focused sales activities will be in the greater Boston area.
