Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring for a Phlebotomist to support our client's medical facility based in Delaware, OH. This is a full-time contract of 3+ months with high possibilities of extension or conversion to permanent and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Position Phlebotomist Duration 3+ months with possibilities of extensionLocation Delaware, OHShift 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, Between 6 AM to 6 PM (8 hours shift), occasional weekends if required.Summary: The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.Job Responsibilities:Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correct. Package specimens for transport. Other duties as assigned. Required Education:High School Diploma or GED Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states. Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
