Are you a Structural Engineer who lives in Columbus, Ohio OR looking to move back to Columbus, Ohio?We are actively seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer for Criterium Liszkay Engineers and they are willing to pay a relocation stipend if a move is required!This role is not only pivotal in delivering high-quality structural engineering services, but also offers a fast path to executive leadership within the firm.They prioritize a sense of urgency, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for mentoring junior engineers. Criterium Liszkay Engineers is led by a forward-thinking leadership team, but has been in business 54 years and is the oldest engineering firm providing home inspections in central Ohio.Day in the Life:Flexible combination of office, home, and client site visits with local (central Ohio) inspections. Normal weekday schedule with no long-term or overnight travel.Start your day by working on reports and designs for current projects, ensuring they meet our high standards.Review a junior engineer's report, providing constructive feedback to help them grow.Answer a question from another engineer, sharing your expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.Help prepare a proposal for a new project, contributing to our ongoing growth.Take a couple of calls with clients, offering insights and updates on their projects.Head out for a couple of field inspections, assessing structures and making recommendations for repairs or renovations. Key Responsibilities:Structural Engineering: Lead the design and analysis of building structures, ensuring safety, compliance, and innovation in every project.Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and maintain strong, trust-based relationships. Deliver projects with a customer-first mindset, ensuring satisfaction at all stages.Inspections and Renovations: Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and infrastructure, identify issues, and design appropriate repairs and renovations. Ensure all work is documented meticulously and meets high-quality standards.Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation of all projects, from initial assessment to final handover. Ensure all records are organized and accessible for future reference.Mentorship: Provide guidance and coaching to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes learning and professional growth.Sense of Urgency: Demonstrate a proactive approach to project delivery, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and with a high degree of responsiveness to client needs.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building structures. Experience in construction, home repairs, or related fields is highly desirable.Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
