Vice President of Engineering (Fiber Optics)

ResponsibilitiesUnderstand Company's core purpose and values and be passionate about what we doDesign and implement a core and distribution network architecture to support a Fiber-to-the-Premises ISP, DWDM, and Dark Fiber operation.Design and implement a distribution network architectureData center commissioning.Network POP location configurationDevelop procedures for network equipment software upgrade testing and implementation.Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside FiberQualfications High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.Proven management experience (7- 10 years) in fiber optic network design and deployment.BICSI or equivalent certification.history of engineering leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.strong knowledge of OSP and ISP high-level and low-level design, aerial and underground practices, field data collection, CAD drafting/QA, ROW permitting, pole attachment applications, pole loading analysis, traffic control planning, construction support, redline follow-up, etc.In depth understanding of outside plant (OSP) architectures consisting of underground, direct buried aerial and building applications.Experience effectively communicating to and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Ability to work well under pressure.Excellent organizational skills- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients.Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic.Strong knowledge of the fiber internet market and technology trends.Ability to develop Key Performance Indicators that outline an effective design engineering team.Direct experience creating a segment routable Dual-Homed ISP network.Direct experience designing and implementing DWDM networksBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ Match, Life Insurance
