Senior Inspector/Engineering Technicians

NOVA Engineering is seeking a full-time Senior Inspector/Engineering Technicians (Construction Materials Testing) based from our Norcross, GA office. This position could become a project management position for airport work.The individual will be responsible for the following:Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specificationsReview of blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sitesDocumentation of field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specificationsDaily use of Metafield, and/or other field and laboratory information management systems, for recording of testing resultsCommunication of field and laboratory testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clientsCalibration of field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standardsQualifications:Density testing and asphalt pavement testing in both the field and laboratory for airports is requiredACI certification and/or ICC (Soils, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, etc) is a plusAbility to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs.
