Senior Maintenance Technician

Title: Senior Maintenance MechanicLocation: Savannah , GA 31408Duration:- 12+ months with temp to hire role.Shift : 1st Shift and 3rd shiftShift Schedule: Shift : 12hr rotating shift. 6:45 to 7. (2-3-2 schedule)Day Shift:7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)Potential to Convert to Full-Time:Shift coverage rotates between:Days:7:00am to 7:00pmNights:7:00pm to 7:00amRotation Schedule:Sunday to Wednesday (Off Thursday through Saturday)Wednesday to Saturday (Off Sunday through Tuesday)SUMMARY OF POSITION Repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as pneumatic systems, rotary valves, agitators, gear drives, pumps, motors and lubrication. RESPONSIBILITIES Knows and observes all occupational and process safety guidelines and policies, environmental practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, and/or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts on equipment. Realigns and adjusts components such as pumps, motors, drive couplings. Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes and measures, cuts, threads, and install new pipe. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. • Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.Performs maintenance to include but not limited to dismantle, inspection, repair and replace functional parts. Cleans up area at the completion of maintenance and repair.Provides guidance to other mechanics and helpers on complicated repairs. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience: • Minimum 6 years' experience in an industrial maintenance position Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements: (describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years) • Mechanical aptitude • Ability to work with a team to accomplish tasks/goals in a timely manner • Time management skills, with ability to achieve tasks/goals in a timely manner • Ability to use various Hand/Power Tools
