Job SummaryThe Loan Operations Assumption Specialist II supports the company's Loan Operations department by assisting with research, conducting document review and creation, performing analysis and other support activities regarding assumptions. The Assumption Processor is also responsible to assure all documentation meets Federal, State, and Investor requirements in preparation for underwriting review and loan closure.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists the Assumption Specialist III in the management of the pipeline of assumption loans for end-to-end processing. Reviews file submissions for accuracy and completeness. Verifies that all required documents are properly located in our imaging system and the loan files. Requests and follows up on all outstanding items with Assumers.Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communicating with team members, borrowers and assumers. Assists with updating file-related activities, reviews, cross-checks, follow up.Maintains all tasks for accuracy and ensures appropriate timelines are met.Builds, maintains, organizes and tracks files for completion.Prepares written correspondence.Reviews and monitors new and updated laws and regulations.Maintains updated processes and job aidsPerforms other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.ExperienceMinimum two (2) years of related experience is required.Mortgage assumption or origination industry experience preferred.Functional/Technical SkillsStrong background and knowledge in mortgage lending and loan servicing preferred.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to interact and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.Strong attention to detail, with a focus on identifying outliers, researching them, and obtaining resolution.Ability to multi-task and prioritize.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Solid working knowledge of MS Office with a strong level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.BenefitsOur benefits package includes 3 comprehensive Cigna or Kaiser medical plans, dental, and vision insurance.
