This individual will play a crucial role in managing our clients' tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory services. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of tax law and will be responsible for tax preparation, state and local tax, corporate tax handling, tax accounting, and tax research. The Tax Manager will also serve as the primary interface with clients, ensuring their tax needs are met and providing top-notch customer service. ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients.Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.Help manage, develop and coach professional tax staff.Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.Research and consult on complex tax matters.Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed.Provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to clients.Interface with clients to understand their operational and financial data, assess their tax situation, and provide strategic advice.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Advanced degree in Taxation is highly desirable.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience.Proficient in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.Extensive knowledge in Tax Law and Tax Compliance.Proven experience in tax preparation and review of tax returns.Strong tax research skills and understanding of tax planning and advisory services.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership and personnel management skills.Able to manage and grow strong client relationships.Proficient with tax software and technology.If you are passionate about tax law, have an eye for detail, and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding role in the finance industry, this is the opportunity for you.
