Maintenance Manager

We are seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Manager role in Lakewood, NJ!Basic Job Functions:Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all mechanical staff. Controls the PM program for the packaging and manufacturing equipment. Reviews Production schedule and ensures task/line assignments are properly supported. Interacts with Management, Engineering, and all packaging personnel to provide and receive feedback on operations that require improvement/repair. Ability to perform mechanical setups and maintenance tasks on all packaging lines. Knowledgeable on each individual component of a packaging line and the correct setup for interaction and connection between them for maximum efficiency.Essential Functions of the Job:Manages mechanics and electricians to perform technical work on the production floor, including but not limited to packaging and filling lines, compounding tanks, and static/mobile equipment.Direct the technical team working on static/mobile and rotating equipment.Make technical changes and recommendations for repairs and improvements on production equipment.Maintains buildings and grounds to meet required standards of cleanliness and compliance with cGMP, FDA, customer's requirements from audits, etc.Ensure appropriate staffing, proper training and development, and performance management for the team.Manage capital and non-capital projects related to the maintenance of existing equipment. Prepares Capital Appropriation Requests as needed.Responsible for filling, packaging, and mixing equipment to maximize throughput, minimize cost, and support efficiencies.Work closely with Operations/Production personnel on all equipment-related issues to minimize downtime while meeting our customers' needs.Able to generate reports, write SOPs and Work Instructions, develop and track Key Results, and drive efficiency metrics throughout the maintenance organization.Assist in the development of corporate engineering standards and/or development of capital budget along with Engineering staff.Monitor, take immediate action, and report on PM-related performance.Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.Perform the timely completion of the required investigations arising from internal and external audits.Supports a 24/7 operation during off hours and performs needed work during plantwide shutdowns.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements of the Job:Leadership skills are required to develop the technical workforce and achieve the highest level of performance and continuous growth.Write relevant SOPs and Work Instructions.Effective planning and organizational skills, troubleshooting, problem-solving and interpersonal skillsCommunicate effectively verbally and in writingEffectively use/learn AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office programs such Word, Excel, and PowerPointPossess good negotiation and conflict resolution skillsWorking knowledge of the principles of electricity, electronics, mechanical and plant operating systemsRead blueprints & schematic drawings and knowledge of plant systems and related equipment/utilitiesSupport and contribute in Lean/ Six Sigma, ESG, energy conservation programs and activities towards delivery of the set targetComply with environmental, health and safety policies & regulations, quality policies, and company policies, procedures & policiesAbility to make independent and sound judgement under deadline with interruptionsMaintain confidentiality and resolving conflictsPhysical Requirements:Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods and climb stars or laddersAble to be able to lift & carry various items up to 40 pounds and exert up to 10 pounds of forceSupervisory Responsibilities: YesTravelNoEducation and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, technical field or equivalent work experienceMust have extensive prior industrial maintenance experience involving mechanical, electrical work and be familiar with the industry regulationsBe familiar or able to quickly learn maintenance excellence practices, including the development and application of KPIs to measure and track maintenance department efficiencyExtensive experience involving mechanical, electrical and/or electronics in packaging and rotating equipmentBe familiar, or able to quickly learn maintenance excellence practices, including the development and application of KPIs to measure and track maintenance department efficiency.
