Structural Steel EstimatorPosition OverviewThe Structural Steel Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for structural steel projects. This role requires a keen understanding of construction processes and the ability to analyze project specifications and drawings to provide competitive bids. The estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met and to identify any potential cost-saving opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for structural steel components.Develop competitive cost estimates and budgets for projects.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather project information and clarify details.Analyze market trends and pricing for materials and labor.Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.Maintain organized records of estimates and bid documents.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Proven experience as a structural steel estimator in the construction industry.Strong understanding of structural steel materials and fabrication processes.Proficiency in estimating software and tools, including Tekla and Bluebeam is a plus.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.BenefitsLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
