Privately held group of companies seeks a Human Resources Generalist to join their Team!We seek a hands-on, operationally savvy HR Generalist to lead our Human Resources efforts. The HR Generalist is responsible for enhancing department functions by planning, implementing and developing training, onboarding, and employee orientation programs, the administration of employee benefits, payroll administration, annual benefits audit preparation, maintaining employee handbook and HR procedures manual, and answering employee questions regarding pay, benefits, policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processesConduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiativesAssist in development and implementation of human resource policiesOrganize annual employee performance reviewsMaintain employee files and records in electronic and paper formEnsure compliance with labor regulationsMaintain HR systems and processes including benefit plansEnsure the organization's compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsReview and update HR and employee related forms to ensure forms are current and compliant, and all company related entities are using current and consistent formsAssist with developing and implementing training and onboarding programsAssist with updating and maintaining Company Policy HandbookRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including health and dental, 401k, PTO, FMLA, and general employee personnel issuesAssist Managers with recruitment and interview processes, including phone screens, posting job ads, scheduling applicants, sending application information, and gathering feedback as necessarySchedule and conduct new employee orientation activities including meeting arrangements, compilation of new hire paperwork, and overview of timekeeping and payroll systemsInput new employee information into payroll and timekeeping systems to create employee recordProcess 401k contributions per payroll frequencyConduct benefits enrollment for eligible employees; assist with benefit administration including health, dental, voluntary life, vision, Section 125 flexible benefits, long-term disability and 401k retirement planPayroll Processingo Compile payroll data (i.e. hours worked) and input HR/payroll data and track payroll and timecard cycleo Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payrollo Prepare detailed and accurate payroll reports for accounting departmentQualifications:Proven experience as an HR GeneralistUnderstanding of general human resources policies and proceduresGood knowledge of employment/labor lawsDegree in Human Resources or related fieldOutstanding knowledge of MS Office and HR Management Software including payroll systemsExcellent communication and people skillsAptitude in problem-solvingDesire to work as a team with a results driven approachAdditional HR training is a plusPosition is on-site, not remoteRewards:?
