Electric Motor/ Hoist TechnicianHoist / warehouse service technician is responsible for a variety of functions that range from processing incoming shipments and materials, to picking and filling orders for customer. The technician is required to work as a member of a team and as an individual based on the task must be a self-starter.Other responsibly include organizing, inspecting, and repairing equipment so that it is in good and safe working condition before being put back into service. Employees must also practice safe work conditions to prevent injuries and hazards from arising.Requirements:Be at least 21 years oldHave and maintain a valid NC driver's license Proficiency in verbal communications in the English languageProficiency in reading and writing the English languageHave a High School diploma or GED equivalent.Basic knowledge of electrical schematicsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at later date.Must be mechanically and electrically inclined. Proficient in the repair of electric motors and gear boxes or have the capability, and desire to learn complex systems within six months. Candidate shall complete factory training and maintain manufactures certifications. Assist in loading and unloading of trucksOverhaul and repair of hoist motorsDisassembles hoist motors and replaces defective parts and reassemblesAbility to troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic equipmentMust be able to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environmentPerform Preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery responsible for parts (Inventory)Follow checklist to ensure all important parts are examined Enter work orders into computer systemProvide excellent customer service to service customers, internal and externalTroubleshoots, tears down, repairs, reassembles, test and performs maintained on standard equipment accessoriesPerform inspections in accordance with the manufacture's recommendationsPerform other duties as assigned Process, prepare, and palatize orders for shipmentSort, organize, inspect, repair, complete service reports, and return equipment to proper storage locations.Assist unloading and loading customer's ordersMaintain safe work conditions daily by cleaning floors, shelves, tools, workstations, etc. Wear proper safety equipment and apparel (PPE)Take corrective action if potential hazards arise so that you and your team are safe from injury and hazards Communicate efficiently written, verbal, and respectfully with customers, and fellow employees Ability to follow instructions in an efficient manor Problem solving and organizational skillsEfficient commutation skills - operating a calculator, counting, addition, subtracting, etc.Reliable and dependable Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas Training: Technicians must complete required training which includes:Industrial Forklift Fire prevention, lockout tag out, personal protective equipment, blood borne pathogensManufactures technical training for hoistTraining for suspended scaffolding equipmentOSHA 10 hr.Other course may be required as equipment changes.Basic Physical Functions required:Ability to lift 100 lbs. routinely Manual dexterity, standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneelingSight, hearing, speechReading and writingKeyboarding skillsOperating a calculatorCounting ability
