Field Service TechnicianLOCATION: Monroe, MI, role requires travel domestically and internationally, up to 100%.JOB DESCRIPTION:Powerwell is a leading recruitment firm helping our clients discover top talent. Currently, we are looking for a Field Service Technician to lead our client's field service department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, guiding the team to provide excellent customer service while overseeing the repair, start-up, and maintenance of customer equipment. The role includes providing technical support and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of systems. This hands-on position requires troubleshooting, making adjustments, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads repair and start-up function of customer equipment by instructing client employees or labor and providing solutions to electrical, mechanical, and environmental equipment issues.Performs pre-startup check of equipment and makes final adjustments as needed.Controls cost and schedule of the project in the best interest of DSC and customer.Provides thorough and high-quality training to customers regarding safe and efficient operation and maintenance of DSC equipment.Provide timely information to customers including job status updates and detailed written follow-up reports promptly after each job, outlining details of the project and recommendations for future equipment recommendations.Must complete DSC-assigned safety training and customer site safety training as required.Travels extensively working varied schedules at different locations each week, including holidays and weekends as necessary to satisfy customer needs.Ability to travel domestically and internationally 100%.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 2 years of experience in power plant-related maintenance and operations; or 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or construction-related field.Additional consideration for an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.Must maintain a valid driver's license and passport.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper operation.Ability to make sound technical decisions independently.Strong written and oral communication.Ability to interpret blueprints and technical information.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.Experience working in boiler operations, power plants, or related construction experience.Customer service skills.Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
