The company's comprehensive suite of originations, servicing, and analytics solutions together with technology-enabled services creates a flexible, configurable, and scalable platform that addresses lenders and borrowers' ever-evolving needs.About The RoleThe Systems Engineer works closely with stakeholders and other members of the technical teams to support our enterprise distributed systems, gather technical requirements, and execute deliverables. This position will support the day-to-day operations of the server room, servers, storage, backup, and monitoring. The Engineer will collaborate with project teams comprised of multiple technical disciplines such as end users, developers, system administrators, information security, and system architects to implement and maintain enterprise-level information technology applications. This engineering position is in the Platform Engineering team and will be a liaison between Business Units, helpdesk and other engineers.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Ability to be in the Amherst, NY officeMaintain, deploy, and decommission IT applications and systemsActive Directory, GPO, and DNS managementPatching - Assist with weekly and monthly security/vulnerability remediation'sProcess service requests and support tickets as neededActively participate in incident calls, escalations, and problem reviews as appropriate.Contributes to the technical work of projectsAbility to work as part of a stand-by rotation outside of regular business hours by phone and ability to go into the office for server room itemsMaintain systems and documentation for the purposes of audits and complianceAdditional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business requirementsParticipate in DR events and DR tests.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related IT fields.2+ years of systems engineer experience.Engineering and troubleshooting experience related to infrastructure and best practices in both end-user and data center environmentsKnowledge of MS Windows Servers 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019.Performed as the technical resource on projects, implementations, and escalations.Proven practical experience with Infrastructure support, including servers, security, DR, monitoring, performance, and support.Participate in industry standard and internal audits and compliance reviews.Create and maintain documentation relating to network, servers, configurations, mapping, processes, and services.Develop process improvements and standard operating procedures.MS O365Preferred QualificationsNimble Storage / Understanding of SAN technology.Hyper-V and Failover ClustersCertificate or PKI, Public Key infrastructure managementAzure experienceMCSE in server certifications desired.Project Management experience a plus.Patch Management and Software deploymentsExperience with IT Change Management Process.Intermediate to advance knowledge of planning, monitoring, and trending to troubleshoot and forecast performance and capacity to meet business needs.Additional Eligibility RequirementsStrong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into technical infrastructure requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with the Business, the Clients, and with the Data Center Engineers and Operations for explaining and communicating detailed requirements and configurations.Demonstrated ability to obtain thorough knowledge of the infrastructure configuration and requirements for the supported products.Strong problem solving and technical skills.Knowledge of project management concept and tools.Work independently self-motivated.Willingness to support off-hour and weekend maintenance work when required.Travel RequiredTravel is less than 10% of timeWork EnvironmentTypical work hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday Eastern Time and may require additional hours to complete tasks on weekdays or weekends.Ability to use common computer equipment effectivelyAffirmative Action/EEO Statementdefi SOLUTIONS is an Equal Opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
