Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects, ensuring financial viability and competitive bidding. This role requires a strong understanding of the materials, labor, and processes involved in structural steel construction.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans and specifications to determine scope of workPrepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and erectionAnalyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bidsCollaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goalsUtilize estimating software and tools to increase accuracy and efficiencyMaintain accurate records and documentation of estimates and proposalsProvide support during the bidding process and negotiate with vendors and subcontractorsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience as an estimator in the structural steel industryStrong skills in estimating processes and methodologiesExcellent analytical and mathematical skillsProficiency in estimating software such as Tekla and Bluebeam is a plusKnowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes is preferredStrong communication and negotiation skillsBenefitsLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
