Reports To: Vice President, AccountingLocation: Culloden, WVService Wire Company, a premier manufacturer of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a Corporate Controller in Culloden, WV. If you are looking to join a great organization and an opportunity to become a part of our growing team, this may be the job for you!Position Summary:Manage department by providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company's future.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including:Accounts payable, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records and control reportsAccounts receivable to ensure accurate invoicing and prompt collection of sales revenuesFixed asset management, including tracking, depreciation, and disposalsPricing system and implementation of pricing strategiesRisk mitigation strategies involving commodities, foreign currency, and interest ratesCommissions, rebate calculations, and related financial recordsPayroll and benefit invoice reconciliationOversee monthly and year-end closings of the general ledger including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accrual calculationsPrepare comprehensive financial statements in compliance with US GAAP guidelines and requirementsMaintain robust internal controls over financial and banking transactions, processes and proceduresServe as the primary contact for external auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirementsAttend and participate in regular meetings; aid in leading internal accounting meetings as well as occasional cross-company presentationsAudit current financial practices and controls for integrity and complianceProvide and maintain reporting for sales, operations, and executive management to make data-driven decisionsMentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceOther tasks and duties as assignedQualifications and Experience RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or Masters in Accounting preferred)Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleExpert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations and best practicesStrong understanding of accounting principles, compliance regulations, and financial reportingProven leadership skills with the capability to drive processes and ensure accuracyExperience with large-scale ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and expert Excel skills preferred but not requiredExcellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skillsExceptional written and verbal communication abilities with strong interpersonal skillsDetailed oriented, self-starter with the ability to deal with multiple challenges and projects simultaneously with minimal supervisionAbility to travel to our other facilities when needed
