We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.We are hiring for Industrial Maintenance Tech I pin the De Soto, KS market and are eager to talk to those in the area with work experience and looking for a long-term career with a great company!In this role, the Industrial Maintenance Technician I (IMT I) is responsible for maintaining the production equipment and machinery in proper operating order through preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and basic repair. This is a Multi-Craft position. This role will be exposed to improvement activities. Work with Operations team to facilitate a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) environment and machine ownership. Additionally, the Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance of all machines to prevent mechanical failure.COMPENSATION$27.50/hr - based on experienceREQUIRED TRAINING PROGRAMFor this position, you will have hands-on training experience in the Panasonic working facility in Reno, NV. The training schedule is:Start 9/9, 1 week in Kansas9/23-10/18 in Reno, NV (4 weeks of training)1 week back in Kansas10/28-11/22 in Reno, NV (4 weeks of training)1 week back in Kansas12/2-12/20 in Reno, NV (3 weeks of training)The remainder of training will occur in KansasPanasonic Energy pays all expenses for travel during the training.INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 1 SUMMARY/ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Works closely with Maintenance team members and the Operations team members to maintain PENA equipmentChecks settings, gauge readings, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and sensors regularly to keep machines operating at appropriate specificationsPerform regular preventative maintenance on machines according to documented requirements such as cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other partsCompletes visual and audible observations to detect any machine abnormalities and to address and create scheduled repairsTightens bolts and inspects belts and chains for wear and tear for proper tensionsChanges belts, filters, and other replaceable parts as neededGreases and or lubricates fittings, joints, unions, and motors as requiredPerforms complex cleaning activities on dismantled equipment and reassembles per OEM specificationsBasic troubleshooting on equipment and machinery to replace worn or broken parts as neededExamines the form, texture, and dimensions of the machine parts to detect wear and/or imperfectionsPerforms electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipmentUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, measuring devices, and material handling equipment while performing dutiesIdentifies faulty operations and defective material and escalates concerns to supervisorsSuggests, develops, and implements machine modifications and processes to ensure machine and production efficienciesMaintains accurate records of completed work on the equipment and machines, including After Action Reviews (AAR)Ensures that inventory of spare parts is accurately keptWorks according to Standard Work and helps develop Standard Work where none has been developedFollows all Maintenance Process Instructions (MPI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Performs Basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of machinesConducts initial multimeter readings, megging of motors, and reading PLC Ladder logicFollows all safety procedures and conforms to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) proceduresIdentifies the cause of unexpected breakdowns of machinesActively works toward the elimination of unexpected breakdownsCleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains the shop areas, production areas, parts, tools, and supplies, maintaining a 6S environmentAlignment to Pansonic's seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)Performs additional tasks as assignedPERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIREMENTS: To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees', wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.EDUCATION /EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED required. Preferred: Two years of technical training or two years related work experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of technical training and experienceESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 6 months of experience as a maintenance technicianPrepare written documentation in a clear and concise mannerDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quicklyMust have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking EnglishMust have basic Mathematical knowledge and be able to do standard calculationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years Industrial Maintenance Technician or Skilled Machine Technician IIIPLC experience preferredResilient, self-motived and able to work well under pressurePHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
