As a CNC Programmer and Machinist specializing in Vertical Mills and Lathes, you will play a crucial role in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications.24/7 shifts:A- Sun, Mon, Tues, every other Wed 6am to 6pm (10% differential) (1 opening)B- Sun, Mon, Tues, every other Wed 6pm to 6am (20% differential) (4 openings)C- Thu, Fri, Sat, every other Wed 6am to 6pm (10% differential)(1 opening)D-Thu, Fri, Sat, every other Wed 6pm to 6am (20% differential) (1 opening)M-48 is M-Thu 6am to 4pm (no differential) (4 openings)Why join us?Medical, Dental, Vision insurance (75% paid by employer and 25% paid by employee)40 hours of paid sick leaveWeekly payAccess for 401KOvertime availableOption to convertJob DetailsRequirements:Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and requirements.Utilize CAM software (such as Mastercam or similar) to program Vertical Mills and Lathes, generating toolpaths for machining operations.Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job based on specifications.Set up and operate Vertical Mills and Lathes to fabricate parts with tight tolerances.Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.Troubleshoot issues with Vertical Mills and Lathes and implement corrective actions as needed.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications: Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist, specializing in Vertical Mills and Lathes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques, specifically for Vertical Mills and Lathes.Experience with CAM software for generating toolpaths (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, SolidCAM).Familiarity with the setup and operation of Vertical Mills and Lathes.Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from various departments.Interested in hearing more?
