OVERVIEW:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will reside in the professional offices playing a crucial role in supporting our office & manufacturing plant workforce by managing HR functions across the board with a primary focus on Employee Relations, Performance Management, HR Compliance, and other core HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the manufacturing industry and be comfortable working autonomously in a stand-alone HR role.RESPONSIBILITIES:Employee Relations: Act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, promoting a positive work environment and addressing issues as they arise. Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in a fair and consistent manner.Performance Management: Work with managers and employees to ensure performance goals are set, monitored, and assessed effectively. Facilitate performance evaluations and provide guidance on performance improvement plans as necessary.HR Laws & Compliance: Ensure the company is in full compliance with all state and federal labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on HR policies and employment law changes that impact the manufacturing industry.Employee File Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR records. Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with recordkeeping requirements.Employee Leave Management: Manage employee leaves, including FMLA, personal leave, and disability accommodations, coordinating with employees and managers to ensure compliance and effective communication.Workers' Compensation: Oversee workers' compensation claims, working with employees, managers, and insurance providers to manage claims and facilitate return-to-work processes.Talent Acquisition Support: Assist the Talent Acquisition team with light recruiting as needed, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to meet staffing needs.Company Events: Organize and assist with employee engagement events and activities that support a positive work culture, fostering teamwork and morale across the organization.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 4+ years of relative HR experience.Candidate must have prior HR experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably supporting a manufacturing plant.Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.Ability to work autonomously in a stand-alone HR role.Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations specific to the manufacturing industry.Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software; proficiency in MS Office Suite.Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
