Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Construction Defect/Habitability Law)Location: Hybrid in Santa Monica (L.A.)Salary: $165k-$225k/yr.Billables: 1900Required experience: At least 3-5 years of experience with Construction Law, Construction Defect, Habitability Law (nice to have), Real Estate Litigation experience (nice to have), Defense-side litigation experience.Position Overview: The Senior Insurance Defense Attorney is a senior-level position responsible for providing legal representation to clients in insurance defense, litigation, and other related matters. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional skills and experience in trial and depository practice, as well as knowledge of legal principles and liability defense in personal injury, construction defect, and other related areas.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal representation to clients in civil insurance defense litigation, including but not limited to personal injury, construction defect, and other related areas.Conduct all aspects of trial practice, including taking and defending depositions, preparing pleadings and discovery responses, and motion practice.Provide legal advice on a variety of related matters and provide guidance on the best possible strategy.Work closely with other attorneys and staff, and maintain positive client relationships.Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all legal matters are handled properly.Negotiate favorable settlements and other resolution of legal disputes.Provide training and mentorship to other attorneys and staff.Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations and ensure compliance.QualificationsJuris Doctorate degree required.Licensed to practice law in relevant state and/or federal court.Minimum of 5 years of experience in trial and deposition practice.Excellent knowledge of legal principles and liability defense.Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.BenefitsMedicalDentalVision insurance401(k) programEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
