With its global headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina and offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Ireland, Tanner Pharma is in a phase of rapid growth.The Senior Business Development Associate is tasked with identifying, engaging and enrolling new pharmaceutical accounts to drive the division's profitability. This role focuses on building partnerships with market authorization holders and fostering growth that aligns with Tanner Pharma Group's core Values. Key responsibilities include tracking opportunities, developing a robust pipeline of prospects, achieving KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and monthly targets, and effectively communicating deadlines and strategies to the team. Success in this role is meeting or exceeding the KPIs and company Objectives.Major Objectives:Drive and Build the Business Development Pipeline (Pharma companies)Within the first 30 days and ongoing:The individual will have a full understanding of the Business Development customer and Pharma company onboarding process.Complete divisional and company system and operations training: NetSuite, Quoting, Sourcing, Sales Executive (SE) vs. Ordering Management (OME), Standard Operating Procedures, Compliance and Regulatory PoliciesBy 60- day mark and ongoing:Research, identify, evaluate, and establish new direct accounts with pharma companies to enhance business operations. This includes conducting market research, negotiating with market authorization holders, and implementing efficient and cost-effective supply chain strategies.Identify, evaluate, and establish new customer accounts. This includes identifying contacts for top prospects, conducting market research, developing good knowledge regarding priority sectors, customer type like delivery routes and trends, to improve the division's effectiveness in onboarding core customersManage and provide Pharma companies with proactive communication and excellent customer service to build and maintain successful partnerships via emails, telephone and partner visits.Create and manage a Business Development pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of leads and prospects that can be converted into new business opportunities.By 6th & 12 month and ongoingPresent the company and explain our services to maximize opportunities within the different business units.Create and implement new strategies to increase the enrollment of new pharma companiesBuild rapport with Leads and Prospects to identify decision-makers and reveal critical information to develop the account and our understanding of the level of partnershipEffectively follow-up and respond with potential prospects and Pharma companies in a timely and friendly manner to obtain feedback on the opportunityMonitor and report on the performance of new direct access routes, new pharma companies onboarded, and team development initiatives. Use this data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.Follow up on opportunities to partner with TannerGAP that comes from referrals, marketing campaigns, networking and industry events.Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.Develop and execute client engagement plans to foster long-term partnerships.Attend meetings, conferences, and events to promote TannerGAP services, as required.Identify and implement innovative approaches to business development to stay ahead of the competition.Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the business development team.Admin & Operational implementation and support:Within the first 30 days and ongoing:Understand and know the Pharma company enrollment process.Understand pricing forecast, track margins, negotiate on pricing at portfolio/account levelUnderstand all activities from request to quote through shipment of the order to manage the Pharma company accounts effectively.Set up accounts in NetSuite and upload relevant documents into TannerGAP document centerBy 90- day mark and ongoing:Work closely with the Sales and Business Development Manager to align the team's efforts with the company's strategic goals. Participate in setting sales targets and defining strategies to achieve these targets.Work closely with operations teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with overall company goals.Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and coordinate efforts.Actively communicating with VMT and other departments to ensure smooth handling of all ordersUnderstand pricing forecastBy 6th & 12 month and ongoingAssist the manager on small projects and handle the implementation and roll out from start to finish.Cooperate in a positive manner to drive the growth of the organization by providing required assistance to relevant staff and organization's partners.Serve as a liaison between all departments (Ordering, Finance, and Logistics) to explore and implement client-specific processes that increase their retention and long-term value to our servicesEstablish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the business development initiatives.Prepare regular reports on Business Development activities, performance and outcomes for Gap leadership.Organize and participate in training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.Stay updated on industry best practices and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.Top 3 most important abilities and functions needed:Strategic Business Acumen: The ability to understand and navigate the business landscape is crucial.
