Title: Electromechanical TechnicianLocation: North Vernon, INSalary: $26-40/Hour + BenefitsRequirements: At least 3-5 Years of Electrical and Electronics experience. Must have experience within a Manufacturing Plant, with NOCTI or Mechanical Technology. With 57 manufacturing facilities and administrative offices in North America and Europe, including two world-class plastic recycling facilities, we are close to our customers and ready to serve them through our Food & Delivery and Performance Solutions segments.What You Will Be DoingHandle electrical, electronic and mechanical work needed in the plant and on machinery; this is a comprehensive list of responsibilities.Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.Review electrical/electronic/mechanical malfunctions as they occur in order to determine cause, resolve the malfunction and provide necessary preventative actions where possible.Monitor radio and respond to maintenance calls as needed.Review proposed equipment installations and modifications to plan and execute these upgrades.Handle electrical wiring, repair, modifications and upgrades as needed in the plant.Maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade the plants computer systems used to operate, interface and control the plant's equipmentMonitor plant equipment and facilities in order to discover and prevent potential problems and provide for equipment obsolescence.Handle emergency repairs as quickly as possible in order to minimize downtime.Support emergency troubleshooting and repair requirements on a call in basis.Support 24 hour shift maintenance vacation coverage on an as needed basis.Assist with repairing failed equipment as needed.Remain familiar with all existing electrical and mechanical equipment used in plant and develop skills to support new equipment.Work with Store Room Supervisor to make sure material is on hand to make electrical and mechanical repairs as needed.Assist in maintaining, repairing and upgrading all plant electrical systems.Keep accurate records on work completed maintain and update equipment documentation to facilitate future maintenance support effortsEnsure that electrical dangers are minimized for employees.Support the operation team in meeting and achieving production goals set forth by management.Work with operating crews to learn how the equipment operates to enhance troubleshooting and repair effortsFollow all federal, state, local, corporate and plant rules, standards, procedures, and guidelines associated with employee safety.Keep work area clean and organizedFollow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, arc flash equipment, etc. as required.Ensure that all quality standards are maintained when performing job duties.Act as Emergency Action Support.Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.What You Need For This PositionHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience.5 years of electrical and electronics experienceMust have proper electrical education training and be able to pass the NOCTI for Electro Mechanical Engineering TechnologyPC/PLC knowledge skills to effectively troubleshoot issues.Must have basic reading, math and communication skills.Open and willing to continue education and training on and off the job to enhance employees skills and abilities in all maintenance areasWhat's In It For YouCompetitive Hourly WageHealth/Dental and Vision PTO 401K Options Growth within the Organization If you are an Electromechanical Technician with the experience above, please apply directly.
