They handle third-party billing and any denials after the claim is submitted while providing excellent client service.ResponsibilitiesTrain with Medical Billing Senior Specialist and Manager to learn billing procedures and claim follow-up on the numerous systems clients utilizeEstablish collaborative working relationship with Medical Billing Senior Specialist and Manager to assist with any client needs that ariseLearn and understand Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid regulatory billing practicesReview claims against medical documentation provided by clients to ensure clean claims are submitted to the appropriate third party payerCommunicate with Medical Billing Senior Specialist and Manager when claims require additional information prior to submissionComplete coinsurance billing to appropriate secondary or tertiary insurancesStay abreast of current medical coding and billing issues, trends and changes in the laws and regulations in order to make recommendations for changes in policies and proceduresInvestigate, manage and resolve medical claims in accordance with established requirements and proceduresConsistently follow up on unpaid claims using monthly aging reportsAnalyze accounts and investigate claims that have been returned, denied or have balance inaccuraciesCommunicate with Medical Billing Senior Specialist and Manager on troublesome accounts receivable balancesProvide timely and high-quality service to meet and exceed client expectations and perform research on projects as neededTake initiative to understand and apply available resources and appropriate guidance and policiesOrganize facts, analyze and interpret information according to client circumstancesOther duties as assignedEducation, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED); Associate degree and medical billing certification a plus1+ year experience in an administrative function, preferably within the health care fieldStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and technology-savvy individualExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projectsAbility to research and analyze data and resolve issues; read and interpret medical terminologyIf you are passionate about the work, you do and want to join an amazing team that will invest in your future, we want you here!For more information regarding our open position and the services we provide, visit our website at is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
