GATES will provide a wide array of engine maintenance services and testing to support airlines around the world.The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GAT processes. This position is responsible for performing incoming and outgoing inspections of aircraft parts and materials along with required production procedures. Reporting to the Director of Quality, the ideal individual should be quality-oriented and attention to detail, self-motivated, reliable, and able to multi-task, to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to meet quality product expectations.ResponsibilitiesConduct a complete visual inspection of all articles that are maintainedPerform functional testing to determine conformity to repair/alteration data requirementsPerform final inspection and return to service of maintained articles and in-process inspections as necessaryInspect incoming raw materials to ensure acceptable qualityEnsures technical data used for maintaining articles is appropriate and currentAccomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed Recording major repair and alteration and report serious failure, malfunction or defect of an article are discoveredRemain current with all applicable regulations and with the repair station policies and procedures (RSQCM)Qualifications2-3 years Quality Control Inspector experienceMust be A&P Certificated under 14 CFR Part 65Meets the requirements of 14CFR Part 145 sections 145.155, 145.157, 157.213Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspectedThoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations in 14CFR Part 145, Part 43 and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performedUnderstand, read, and write English Possess strong organizational, analytical, and administrative skills Preferred QualificationsFamiliar with Quantum Software Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
