Position: Project AnalystLocation: Columbus, Ohio or RemotePay: $90,000-100,000Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Analyst to join our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work as project managers and engineering leads to providing comprehensive Project Management Services that support electric utility clients. The Project Cost Analyst will be part of an established Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring the successful delivery of projects.Position Responsibilities: This role will involve work with forecasts, cost controls, process documentation, risk identification and variance analysis. Responsibilities will include:Developing, monitoring and maintaining engineering and construction project budgets for various sized transmission & distribution projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilitiesWork with Project Management teams using earned value management techniques to ensure that forecasts and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limitsShare team utilization metrics and address any utilization concerns with AEP's Center of Excellence (COE) to maintain alignment with project objectives and resource requirements.Partner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverablesDevelop and produce weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review.Interfacing directly with the client and internal management to report progress, schedule and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projectsAssist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI trackingPosition Requirements: Bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or closely relatedFive (5) + years of relevant project controls/cost analysis experienceExpert level knowledge of ECOSYS enterprise project performance softwareMust demonstrate recent and in-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission, substation and/or distribution designDemonstrated work history of planning, organizing, directing and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasksShould be capable of tracking cost and schedule status of assigned tasksMust be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner; Strong writing and verbal communication skills requiredPrevious experience working with AEP is preferred
