Senior Tax Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant for a profitable and stable client. The Sr. Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing foreign, federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns for the company and its affiliates.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and or review foreign, federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns.Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions including tax related SEC filings.Prepare complex calculations as part of the Federal consolidated income tax return including foreign tax credit, §199 deduction, LIFO, and stock compensation.Recommend and implement processes that improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax accounting and compliance related activities.Conduct research and provide supporting documentation for tax positions taken on returns and for proposed transactions.Assist in and/or lead federal and state income tax audits.Assist in maintaining effective SOX 404 procedures.Work with outside firm and other internal departments on managing expatriate income tax compliance.Review tax fixed asset system maintenance prepared by tax staff.Review general ledger account reconciliations prepared by staffAssist with mentoring and training of tax staff.Other duties as assignedYOUR QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldMaster's degree in Tax preferredCPA preferred2-4 years of relevant tax experienceExperience with tax research services and Corporate Income tax software preferredProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and WordStrong attention to detail requiredGood communications skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to maintain confidential informationThis is a profitable and stable company offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
