This will include a focus on managing organizational capabilities, culture, talent acquisition and retention strategies, employee performance & development, legal compliance, benefits, wages and compensation. The Global Director of People and Organizational Effectiveness will work closely with the CEO to provide consultative guidance and counsel to align HR strategies and programs with company business strategies and objectives by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities, identifying industry trends, evaluating data and information, communicating and coordinating requirements, defining measures of progress and success, managing projects, and obtaining desired results. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact Godfrey & Wing's continued growth through forward-thinking HR processes, talent management and workforce capabilities for a staff of 140.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely as the strategic partner with the CEO by presenting ideas and recommendations that will aid in the cultural transformation of this innovative and growing organization.Nurture and respect the evolving "Simply Better" customer centric, collaborative culture that is the legacy of the company.Develop HR strategies by identifying and researching HR issues; contribute information analysis and recommendations; establish HR objectives in line with organizational objectives.Define and implement short and long-term HR strategies and programs to ensure an alignment with business goals by establishing functional accountabilities, HR KPI's and metrics for talent acquisition, recruiting, employee onboarding, compensation & benefits, talent and performance management, training and development, HR information management, workplace culture, employee relations and overall workforce effectiveness.Track, measure and analyze results while also providing analytics for business decisions relative to the workforce and organization.Foster positive employee relations and create an environment of collaboration across the organization.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.Lead, coach and develop HR staff of four, delegating responsibility and work as appropriate.Develop HR operational and financial strategies and budget by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances, aligning resources, developing action plans, increasing efficiencies, and measuring and analyzing results.Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures and guidelines, and communicating and embracing organizational values and behaviors.Strengthen the organization's ability to attract, develop and retain high quality talent, at all levels, particularly in key and high demand positions.Develop progressive and proactive total compensation and benefits programs to provide competitive and appropriate motivation, incentives and rewards for performance.Stay current on new approaches, trends, and requirements in HR for continuous improvement of HR effectiveness.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEAn HR leader with broad generalist experience and exposure to all HR functional areas and a proven track record of delivering resultsStrong business acumen and a true business partner to all company functional areasPartners with senior management to develop strategies for people managementThrives on change in a fast-paced environment with action orientation and accountability for delivering resultsFlexible thinker with the ability to find innovative solutions to both routine and unique situations in the workplace environmentBS/BA in Business, Human Resources or related field required with an MBA preferred10-15 years progressive HR management experience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum of 5-7 years managing the HR function and HR staffStrong knowledge of employment-related federal, state and local laws and interpretationsSome travel, approximately 15%KEY COMPETENCIESHighly professional, diplomatic, tactful and empathetic leader; uses good judgement and sound values and ethicsExceptional emotional intelligence and relationship skillsAction oriented with the ability to think and advise strategically, as well as handle and deliver on tactical responsibilitiesSkilled in identifying HR KPIs and metrics to measure impact and results and provide analytics for business decisions relative to the workforce and organizational structureStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines and limited resourcesDemonstrated skill and ability to anticipate and understand HR issues related to organizational/business strategic decisions and lead cultural change management initiativesPolished presentation skills and positive, results-oriented influencing styleProficient in Microsoft Office, HRIS, Internet research and other technologyFOR CONSIDERATIONIf you are an accomplished, high-performing human resource leader who meets the qualifications and seeks to work in a high velocity environment with a culture that values and recognizes the contributions of all employees, we are interested in speaking with you.
