Join this mid-size produce company based in the Chicago area and take the lead by managing the functions of the Accounts Receivable department.Role Highlights:The role involves Collections, cash applications, and customer service as well as very good follow through skills!Submit about ten invoices daily to customers via email and in a couple of cases through the appropriate customer portal.• Perform daily cash applications pulling transactions from the bank lockbox to record funds and weekly collection calls for Corporate.• Set up new customer accounts working with customer service in their other office location, dealing with exceptions as needed.• Send requests for references to verify potential customers' creditworthiness in order for Controller to assess customer lines of credit.• Will also work with daily shipping and sales reporting by working with shipping and distribution department managers.• Performed monthly account reconciliations for Accounts Receivable as well as advance payment schedules and reconciliation for projects..• Produce annual audit schedule reports for sales and cash audits to be completed by external audit firm.• Will be trained to serve as backup for certain functions for the Accounts Payable functions in time.Basic Excel functions, Outlook, and an ERP accounting system will be used in this role If you are organized, and a problem-solver with a passion for customer service and distribution, join a very capable team where your expertise will be celebrated and rewarded with a yearly bonus.
