Department of the Navy provides competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and extensive professional development and training.As a Structural Engineer with NAVFAC Pacific, you will be responsible to provide independent, timely, and professional structural engineering products, services and consultation, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands. Customer activities have varied missions requiring facility types, ranging from administrative and housing facilities to complex industrial and operational facilities. Projects are challenging and exciting and include specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and facilities development.Consider joining a workforce where you can create a wave of change, even while on land.As a Structural Engineer you will:Perform structural analysis and prepare structural designs and specifications for facility projects using structural analysis software, AutoCad, and BIM.Assess structural condition of facilities to develop recommendations for necessary repairs and modifications.Compose technical written and oral correspondence to communicate designs, plans and objectives to management officials, staff, and customers.Review structural designs of projects prepared by in-house designers, AE firms, or Design-Build firms for completeness, technical adequacy, functional design, sound engineering practice, and compliance with applicable design criteria.Ensure that the structural aspects of the project are constructed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.Salary: $87,230 - $113,395Position Requirements:SECRET ClearanceRegistered Professional EngineerBenefits:Our health insurance program offers you choice and flexibility to suit individual or family needs with no exclusions for pre-existing conditions, as well as a substantial employer contribution to premiums.
