Final Mile Local Dispatcher

Job Summary: Final Mile Local Dispatcher are the main point-of-contact for company drivers in our final mile program. They relay relevant company information to drivers as necessary. Compensation is $17-$20/hr depending on experience.Essential Functions:Communicate with Planners in order to plan driver routesHelp drivers choose efficient courses to fulfill their routesCoordinate with drivers to find available agents when necessaryCommunicate with agents to set up incoming shipments and labor as neededUpdate ETA's in company software, as well as make relevant notes in shipment notesMonitor drivers and ensure that they are following DOT regulations, and stop them if they are in violation of regulationsApprove repair expenses and travel expenses for driversRecruitment and managing of drivers in addition to being responsible for the drivers' actions.Communicate with customer and with customer service on driver's schedule, especially regarding arrival times and issue funds to drivers as neededLog driver locations and activities into Eagle system twice dailyOn rotating schedule, monitor and receive calls and emails via company supplied phone and tablet after hours to approve funding requests and repair issues as neededOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Good telephone skillsKnowledge of company softwareAbility to problem solve in order to maximize driver effectivenessKnowledge of Allied rules and regulationsKnowledge of DOT and DOD regulationsRequired Education and Experience:Required: Five years dispatching experiencePreferred: Logistics degreeWorking Conditions:IndoorsOffice EnvironmentSitting for long periods of timeColeman Worldwide Moving Benefits for Employees (not applicable for seasonal employees if not stated):40 hours of VACATION PAY after 1-year employmentArray of voluntary health benefits including but not limited to (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more)6 paid holidays after 90 days for Full Time employees (Seasonal Included)Referral Bonus ProgramsColeman Worldwide Moving (and affiliated companies) (collectively "CWM") is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
