South Amboy, NJ - Salary Range $65,000.00 -$85,000.00Job BriefWork with the senior draftsman, estimating team and project management team to understand the scope of work and installation intent to accurately design and produce shop drawings and as-built drawings.ResponsibilitiesAccurately and comprehensively understand the scope of work and customer requirements to develop a design in line with the desired project outcome.Develop detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problemsReview and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment.Visit site locations to validate layouts and measurements as required.Position instructions and comments onto drawings.Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.Produce closeout documents based on final site installation.RequirementsThorough knowledge of the commercial HVAC industry, HVAC industry: +2 years (Preferred), Drafting: +1 year (Preferred)High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload and ability to work on multiple projects at once.Skillful listener; with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.High School diploma or GED equivalent required; mechanical engineering degree preferred.Embrace change in processes as the company continues to grow.Must be proficient with AutoCad and Microsoft applications, Revit and BIM experience a plus
