Opportunity DescriptionThe Director of Life Enrichment will create and design the day-to-day activities and programming for RiverSpring Senior Living. This includes developing a comprehensive and inclusive calendar that will enrich the lives of our residents, promote positive engagement in the community, be conducive to the continuation and strengthening of family ties and friendships, as well as the pursuit of intellectual, social, and recreational interests aimed at maximizing individual potential to remain as functionally independent as possible within the community. Develops and implements community-wide and off-site programs of interest and meaning to our residents to enhance their lives and exceed their active aging lifestyle expectations. Manages and supervises the engagement coordinators, activities-based independent contractors, wellness and programmatic vendors, and volunteers.Company InformationThey are a world-renowned long-term care organization located in Riverdale - North Bronx, serving over 18,000 older adults daily, both in the greater New York community and on our beautiful 32-acre campus overlooking the Hudson River. It provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long-term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services, and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care. Job DutiesQualifications Skills:• Bachelor's or Master's Degree (BA/BS or MA/MS) from four-year College plus five years of work related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. With a major in recreation therapy or related area with professional work experience in therapeutic activities conducting social and recreational programs in a health care or senior living setting.• Knowledge of Aging and Disabled populations.• Licensed or registered nationally or by New York State preferred.• At least 3 years of supervisory experience and a minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.• Two years' experience in Dementia/Alzheimer's environments, with a focus on programming, activities, or social services.• Demonstrates a dynamic, engaging personality, creative abilities, and a desire to be innovative and flexible.EducationBachelor's Degree a must.Master's preferredExperience & Skills Required• At least 3 years of supervisory experience and a minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.• Two years' experience in Dementia/Alzheimer's environments, focusing on programming, activities, or social services.• Demonstrates a dynamic, engaging personality, creative abilities, and a desire to be innovative and flexible.BenefitsExcellent benefits, free parking, Employer paid 401K and career growth.
