Workshop Facilitator - Art X Science Family FestivalLocation: La Brea Tar Pits, Los Angeles, CA (In-person)Pay: $25 per hourJob Type: Temporary (November 6-11, 2024)About the Role:Edinburgh Science is seeking Workshop Facilitators to deliver engaging workshops and activities at the Art X Science Family Festival in Los Angeles. As a facilitator, you'll be the face of our organization, helping children, families, and adults explore the fascinating intersection of art and science. Through exceptional communication, you will guide visitors' experiences, helping them engage with the event's content in an interactive and meaningful way.This temporary role requires full commitment for the duration of the festival and training, so we are looking for reliable individuals who are enthusiastic about working with the public.Key Responsibilities:? Deliver interactive workshops and activities as part of the festival program.? Engage with and educate children and adults, helping them understand and enjoy theevent content.? Prepare thoroughly by reviewing the provided materials and attending training sessions.? Ensure the safe and smooth operation of your designated area.? Set up and pack down sets and props in line with safety guidelines.? Answer questions from visitors with accuracy and confidence.? Represent Edinburgh Science professionally throughout the event.What We're Looking For:Essential:? Confident and engaging communicator with excellent presentation skills.?
