Job Summary:The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of safe, quality, pet food. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing techniques, and quality control standards.Key Responsibilities:Process Design and Development:Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures.Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.Analyze process data to identify root causes of problems and develop solutions.Monitor and measure process performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.Equipment Selection and Installation:Select, procure, and install new manufacturing equipment.Develop and implement equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:Diagnose and troubleshoot process and equipment problems.Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.Develop and implement safety procedures and training programs.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering or related field.Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.Experience in pet food or human food manufacturing.
