Job Summary: This is not a remote position. Split role in reporting to the Business Manager and the ControllerWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk with experience using Paycor and basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, and management of each Paycor module, assisting with light AR/AP duties, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.The ideal candidate works well within the structure of confidentiality and the classification of information and documentation, has excellent attention to detail, a strong understanding of payroll practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Process and review payroll for all employees using Paycor, ensuring accuracy and timelinessMaintain employee records related to payroll, including timecards, deductions, and benefitsVerify hours worked, wages, and deductionsPrepare payroll related reports and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepanciesAssist with basic Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks as neededPrepare and distribute invoices, process payments, and maintain AR/AP recordsSupport finance and HR teams with payroll related tasksEnsure payroll and accounting data is securely maintained and up to dateOther duties as assignedQualifications:Paycor experience is MANDATORY for this role.Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar roleProficiency in using Paycor for payroll processingBasic understanding of AR/AP processes and proceduresStrong knowledge of payroll laws and regulationsExcellent organizational and time management skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong communication skills to interact with employees and other departmentsAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialityEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus)Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience with Paycor.Experience with basic AR/APPreferred Skills:Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) is a plusStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)Work Environment: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMExclusively office-based roleFast paced and deadline driven environmentIndependent worker. Self-starterOccasional need for overtime.
