As a Brand Manager for regional brands, you'll have the chance to take full ownership of brand planning. You'll develop comprehensive brand plans for the coming years, define and execute brand strategies, and set clear objectives to drive the brand's future direction. Has total responsibility to manage budget and P&L to meet company objectives for Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Planning process. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for planning and execution of growth plans for Hot Dogs and Sausage.Lead and champion growth of assigned brands: Wimmers, Ambassador, Fairbury, and Land O Frost summer sausage and smokies.Be subject matter expert on assigned categories: Hot Dogs, Summer Sausage, Smokies, Dinner Sausage.Assist private label manager as needed on Private Label sausage bids.Lead Hot Dog and Sausage cross functional matric team.Lead cross functional project management.Develop and implement the marketing objectives, strategies, long range and annual plans for assigned categories reflecting overall corporate goals.Manage pricing, and trade spend strategy for assigned brand responsibilities.Partner on managing budget.Monitor performance measurements to ensure sales volume, share, and profit objectives are accomplished - recommends and implements corrective actions.Accountable for S&OP planning inputs, assumptions, and identifying risks and opportunities associated with the plan.Responsible for communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual business results and key insights/actions associated with those results.Develop and/or meaningful consumer positioning for assigned brands that create added value versus competition and effectively communicate brand story and benefits to consumers.Develop brand strategies that create consumer, customer, shopper engagement and net household penetration increase.Lead innovation strategy and develop a 3-year innovation plan. Consistent with strategy, manage the development and introduction of new products in partnership with R &D and key stakeholders leading to a full line of differentiated products, each meeting target consumer needs and offering the highest competitive value.Creatively identify opportunity areas for growth by effectively using consumption data, market research and competitive intelligence.Accountable to develop and lead the long-term success of assigned brands to achieve specific business goals and directly connect to consumer needs and competitive environments.Support Director, Brand Management on the development of the 3-year strategic plan.Work together with the sales organization and category leadership to ensure corporate objectives are met, including new distribution, and that our strategies and programs are effectively implemented at the account level. Assist sales in the developing the message and materials.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years CPG brand management experience; Food and/or Snack Category experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field required. An MBA or equivalent master's degree is preferred.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of marketing and finance.Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking with a consumer & shopper lens is required.Proven track record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets through creative marketing of existing lines.Strong analytical skills a must; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong project management skills.Local and/or overnight travel is required 40% of the time.
