This position will work as a strategic partner to Craft stakeholders, senior leaders, and employees to help design the organization's structure to keep pace with shifting industry boundaries, rapidly evolving technologies, and unpredictable change and disruption, to drive company results, as well as lead talent initiatives that are aligned with business objectives. The SVP will advise on impactful organizational design and drive the delivery of key HR programs and services including engagement/retention strategies, compensation, employee development, performance management, etc.This position reports to the Global President Craft.What You Will Do...Organization Development & Culture:Serve as a senior advisor on all aspects of human resources ensuring that the company has the talent and commitment necessary to grow and enhance the business/studio.An active participant in shaping the way the organization operates by driving collaboration, teamwork and strategy.Use effective change management intervention techniques to manage global/regional level initiatives.Build plan and tactics to increase employee engagement.Identify opportunities to improve organization effectiveness and business results.Facilitate internal communication processes and employee feedback mechanisms.Partner with the Chief Talent Officers of McCann Worldgroup's power brands to ensure alignment and execution of all company-wide initiatives.Talent Management:Improve and actively manage the annual Talent Review process (by partnering with MWG corporate central Talent team); facilitate ongoing talent assessment, action plans, career development and succession plans.Guide managers in the development and execution of strategies to ensure optimal talent development and movement within the organization.Identify and help manage appropriate interventions to develop talent, e.g., executive coaching, on-the-job learning assignments, knowledge transfer opportunities, etc.Oversee training of department directors, managers, and staff on any HR related policies/processes, including performance management, behavioral interviewing, compliance, etc.Performance Management:Ensure performance management process is embedded throughout Craft globally.Coach management to prepare and deliver high-quality performance discussions, provide feedback and implement development actions to improve individual/ team performance.Talent Acquisition:Plan work force needs in alignment with changing business/studio priorities.Coordinates with recruitment resources and hiring managers.Construct senior level offers, and negotiate terms, by partnering with finance, leaders and McCann Worldgroup HR, as necessary.Assist in assessment, and selection activities of hires and global mobility.Total Rewards:Manage compensation processes to ensure the appropriate salary treatment of employees by partnering with finance, business/studio leads, and the McCann Worldgroup compensation team.HR Operations:Ensure data integrity of assigned client populations.Ensure HR administrative and compliance requirements are met.Oversee senior level employee relations, recruitment results, and other HR responsibilities.How the Work HappensThought Leadership/ HR Knowledge:Stay current with client, industry, and functional developments.Display excellent critical thinking skills.Write clear and concise presentations for internal clients (e.g., summarizing data insights, outcomes ,and implications) in a straightforward and enlightening way.Business Partnership and Integration:Understand client needs and translate them into high-quality, compelling action plans.Partner with studio/business unit Managing Directors, and other executives to develop and implement HR strategies in support of business goals and objectives.Participate on the Craft Leadership Team and ensure HR voice is appropriately represented in key business decisions.Position self to be viewed as a trusted advisor to the HR department and studio/business Managing Directors.Push management team toward increasingly sophisticated and proven HR practices.Work proactively and constructively with HR colleagues across MW and MW HR Corporate Center.Our Candidate...15+ years progressive HR experience, preferably in Production and or Advertising/Creative.A degree in Human Resources or business preferred, M.A. or MBA a plus.Candidate must have a high-level of business acumen and knowledge of HR best practices.A natural change agent; proven ability to influence.The candidate has experience and can acclimate well to a matrixed organization and global markets.Flexible/adaptable with strong conflict resolution skills.Organization Design background/experience preferred.An inspirational leader who people love to work with and for; can develop, retain, and attract talent at all levels.Flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a high tolerance for change, and is agile enough to keep pace with the evolution of the agency and the demands of growth and transformation.Demonstrates courage to diplomatically voice unpopular opinions.Must have a solutions-oriented approach.Demonstrated success building credibility and effective relationships with employees of all levels across the business and HR.Exceptional communicator and listener who can hear beyond what is said and detect subtext and nuances.
